When the cake is long gone and the dress is packed away, your photos will be the one lasting symbol of your big day.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, and your photos will be the one thing you turn to time and again. Don’t trust them to just anyone.
About Forever Moments
Forever Moments is a full service photography company by Nick Chill Photography, based out of Decorah, Iowa. We specialize in expression-filled, fine art wedding and portrait photography. As a member of Professional Photographers of America, we know how important it is to provide reliable service, with an exceptional quality. We invest in top-of-the-line photographic equipment, and in keeping educated on current trends in photography. We are also partnered with a professional print lab to offer you a great selection of high quality, archival, fine art products.
What is “full service photography”?
It means that we aren’t satisfied just shooting your wedding or portraits and giving you a CD of images. We know how easy it is for those CDs to get buried, and the photos to never see the light of day. We are passionate about helping you find the perfect way to display and share those precious memories, be it as magnificent wall art or luxurious photo albums. Let us help you turn your home into an art gallery of memories!
My name is Nick Chill. I like to tell people that I try to live up to my name. I am pretty laid back and like to enjoy the little things in life. I grew up in New Castle, PA, with two younger siblings. I haven’t always been so laid back, but life teaches you lessons.
I first picked up a camera while living in San Diego, CA, during my service in the US Navy. A trip to the Grand Canyon inspired me to purchase my first Nikon. I quickly fell in love with photographing birds around Southern California. It didn’t take long before I was obsessed with Pacific sunsets. Finally, I found the beauty in photographing the joy of other human beings. In January 2014 I moved to Iowa, to join the love of my life, Rachel, and her three children. It was shortly after moving here that we decided to turn the joy of photographing humans into an official branch of my business, now that I’m married to a beautiful assistant.
It was in San Diego that I also found a love for teaching others to capture the beauty of life. I’ve carried that love with me, to Iowa, and now teach classes both at Arthaus Decorah and out of our home studio. It’s hard to say which I love more, shooting or teaching, but it goes without saying that I love what I do.
